Salt Rock Grill

19325 Gulf Boulevard, Indian Shores, FL. 33785

This very impressive looking restaurant sits on a narrow strip of land in the Gulf of Mexico just west of the city of Seminole. If you arrive by car you can't miss it. It's large and totally our of place and you can't help but admire the elegant entrance. Inside you'll walk past a usually crowded bar with tanks of swimming sea creatures. If you arrive by boat you'll step onto a large wooden deck. The aroma of wood fired steaks, a cozy bar and happy outdoor diners will greet you. Fine dining and service await whichever way you enter. The wine list is admirable.
Meals can be pricey here, anywhere between $13 for Meatloaf and $40 for Alaskan King Crab Legs. But if you're seated by 5:30pm your dinner will cost only $20. The early meal includes salad, sour dough bread with olive oil and herbs and dessert. Early drinks, beer and house wine sell for $3 and well drinks for $3 and $4. The house specialty is a Mojito for only $4. You can't beat those prices, especially on the beaches.
The Grill claims that they are continuing the tradition of Native Americans who built huge fires here, grilling their food on salt rocks. An added plus.....the fires keep the mosquitoes away.
